- Andes Art Foundation Presentation

We will provide opportunities for creativity within the Arts for Andean communities

We provide a platform that seeks a two-way exchange of artistic energy, bringing community art projects into a global context and, on the other hand, inspiring existing art structures in the Andes with international art projects and artistic positions. This celebrates individual and community cultural identity and its development, connected to the unique places and landscapes of the Andean regions.

Andes Art Foundation

- Our Vision

Through art, we explore our relationship with our environment, our communities, and the universe itself.

We are part of this web of stories, a confluence of elements that allows us to discover, create, and reinvent ourselves.

We take the time to marvel at what surrounds us: from a rock that has existed since the beginning of time to a plant that has survived for millennia. We seek to inspire creativity and community regeneration, honoring the vast cultural history of the Andes, which dates back thousands of years. Today, many of these artistic legacies have disappeared or are barely visible. The Foundation supports their continuity by promoting learning spaces where national and international artists share their passion for art and design with local communities. Through practical workshops and collaborative projects, we foster new forms of expression, strengthening the identity and creative potential of those who participate.

- Our Mission

Art knows no boundaries. Its language, born from the creative process, transcends limits and connects people universally.

Our foundation seeks to be a catalyst for artistic creation in the Andes, strengthening ties within communities and between countries. We design projects with profound meaning and global resonance, promoting cultural exchange and mutual inspiration. We invite experienced local, national, and international artists to work in specific communities and spaces, fostering collaboration and dialogue. We believe in a free and dynamic creative process, influenced by the environment and circumstances. Our methodology, inspired by chaos theory, allows creativity to flow unrestricted, adapting to the needs of each context. Furthermore, we promote community leadership to ensure the long-term sustainability of projects. We consider the environmental impact of each initiative, respecting and protecting the extraordinary Andean landscape, a unique territory that connects us to the past, the present, and infinity.

Improve education and learning

The arts provide learning opportunities beyond traditional disciplines. Arts education promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.

El arte impulsa el crecimiento económico

Art drives economic growth

Art galleries, studios, and cultural events attract visitors, tourists, and potential investors. Furthermore, artists themselves often contribute to the local economy by investing in supplies and services.

- At our foundation, we understand that the simplest ideas can have a huge impact.

Creative Solutions for your Community

We offer support in the design and construction of small infrastructure projects that make a significant difference in people's daily lives. Whether you need a solution to improve public safety, a space for social well-being, or a creative way to showcase your community's identity, we're here to help you turn your ideas into reality.

01

Dream it.

Every great project begins with an idea. Maybe you dream of opening a business that allows you to sell your artwork or taking advantage of your garden's bounty to generate new income. Whatever your dream, with the right support, you can make it a reality.

02

Build it.

With a clear idea, it's time to plan how to turn it into something tangible. Step by step, we help you chart the path to making your project a reality. We'll be with you every step of the way to help you realize your vision.

03

Grow.

Once your project is up and running, the next challenge is growing it. Together, we'll evaluate what's working and find new ways to improve and expand your impact. This is just the beginning; with our help, you can build a stronger future.

“During the four years I had the pleasure of knowing him, he taught me everything he could about the Atacama Desert, the Andes Mountains, and the life and culture of its inhabitants. He was a key member of our development team, and his influence will remain deeply rooted in the philosophy of our foundation. His dialogue, determination, and extensive knowledge have not been forgotten and have been a constant guide for me as director and for all those who had the opportunity to work with him.”

Creemos en el arte de ayudar. Te nos unes?

- Wonders surround us

- Our Vision

Our ever-changing world races around us, with or without our consent. We use the arts as a means to investigate our world, our environment, our neighbors, or our community. We take time to truly appreciate the wonders around us. Whether it's a piece of rock that has been in the universe since the beginning of time, or an amazing insect or plant that has survived as a species for millennia, each and every one of these things has found a way to reach us and be with us. We are part of all of this, as humanity, part of a mere but vast collection of electrons that have come together in a confluence of things and have allowed us the power to be, to wonder, and to discover!

- an explosion of creative potential!

Inspiring creativity and community regeneration

Andean communities have a rich and complex cultural history dating back perhaps to 17,500 BC with the Archaic Hunter-Gatherer civilization. Today, examples of this rich artistic and creative culture are scarce. Naturally, the Foundation supports and will foster the continuity of contemporary cultures in whatever way it can, based on the specific needs of the area. Practical and artistic workshops are organized that address the needs of the communities. These workshops are led by national and international artists who bring their passion for creativity and design, which will be transmitted to the workshop participants, promoting an explosion of creativity and future potential.

- aspects of public infrastructure

Support for small infrastructures

This microinfrastructure support takes the form of assistance in the design and construction of projects to improve aspects of communities' public infrastructure. These projects can be simple or mundane, but very important to the community, things that have at some point stagnated, or new ideas developed through discussion. These can be solutions for public safety, social well-being, or community identity that are transformed, on the ground, into creative signage or a simple meeting or gathering space.
